Welcome to The Augmented Educator!
Hello! I'm Michael Wagner, a digital media researcher, educator, and innovator exploring the frontiers of how we experience and learn through technology.
Currently, I serve as Professor of Digital Media and Head of the Digital Media Department at Drexel University's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, where I also direct the Digital Media PhD program.
My research investigates the theoretical foundations and practical applications of emerging digital technologies, with particular focus on immersive audio, educational media, computer games, blockchain technology, and generative artificial intelligence. Through this interdisciplinary lens, I examine how these technologies reshape educational paradigms and creative practices.
